Swing 2.0

Swing 2.0 experiments with time, the power between the dancer and the score by taking on the idea of a pendulum swing. The piece experiments with using a strict mathematic score and explores how we can bring the subjectivity of the dancers to something so linear. Swing 2.0 aims to create a powerful, feminine embodiment of maths in motion.

The initial 20-minute piece was presented and supported as a work in progress with Garter Lane Arts Centre, Waterford, The Mac, Belfast and Bridges Math Art Conference, Canada.

Supported by The Fenton Arts Trust, Swing 2.0 was developed into a feature length performance with an intimate work in progress shown in January 2025 during residence at Uillinn West Cork Arts Centre. The full length piece will be performed in Northern Ireland, May 2025.
